Barter

Barter invites artists to exchange ideas through a communicative process exploring ownership, value and social interaction.

An Internet forum will provide virtual bartering space, recording the process in which artists will give, swap, change or take away ideas, exchanging aesthetics and concepts. The multiple authors who take part in this online exchange will determine the outcomes of the project.

A subsequent event will occur, directly informed by the communication and development of ideas between participants. The project's translation to real space will mark another stage of the project, allowing for further dialogue surrounding the notions of exchange, value, ownership/authorship and how we access information in the digital age.
