NIDDRIE BLUE

Zine or Poster or Zine/Poster

These are the original mock-ups for my Niddrie Blue zine/poster series of three. They are the correct quality - the right amount of low-fi-ness with the perfect amount of graininess, pixelation as well as crisper images. However, when copied by the printers they struggle to understand this marriage of various styled collaged images and their machines cannot process such quality on large scale. So note to self - do not attempt such large scale publications!

My zine/posters in their final state for distribution did not come out as well as I would have liked but I believe this signifies time for a medium overhaul so bring on the sexy light boxes!

Fly Postering

So might have started to take my work into the public realm, a little illegal but doesn't seem to be causing any harm to the landscape of Dundee. "It's like a mini New York" my mother once stated when we came over the Tay Bridge towards Dundee, think she forgot to take her pills that day....

Anyhoo here's some of my fly fly postering...

The idea being those who have come in contact with the zine/poster will recognise the images and a dialogue is created between the "outside" public world and the gallery context "inner" world, giving my work a new lease of life.

The zine/poster in full.

(p.s. thanks Rachel for being my accomplice)
